Burbage Congregational Church is a community church, and its community spirit is clearly felt in the community events run by the church.
1st Saturday in the month: 10.00am - 12 noon: Coffee morning. Bacon cobs (and vegetarian alternatives) are also available. There are also several stalls running, one of which is a cake stall, so those with a sweeter tooth are also catered for! In addition, there are stalls selling books, hand-made greeting cards, and bric-a-brac. Occasionally, the church runs a ‘table-top sale’ on a different Saturday, in which this range of stalls is much extended. On both types of occasion, the church is full of people enjoying the company, refreshments, and stalls.
Tuesdays, from 1.30-3.30pm, the Church Craft Club meets in the “middle room” (between the playgroup and the sanctuary of the church), led by Ann Smith.
Wednesdays from 7.00 - 7.45pm the Church Recorder Group meets, led by our organist and musician, Mark Bennett.
Once or twice a year the church runs a Domino drive, a beetle drive, has an evening at a bowling club, and has an annual meal.
